Dear Shipmates,
I called our fearless leader,Tony Soria, to tell him that I got a E-mail from Norman & Maxine Gay, asking about our reunions. Tony answered the phone up set and said that he was not doing well because his son (by his first marriage) Mark Anthony Soria had pasaed away September 26th. He was sick when Tony and Donna left to go to our reunion, but it was nothing to worry about. On their way home Tony and Donna stopped by his daughters house and found out that the son was in the hospital and he was not doing well. He was 57 years old and Tony is not taking it very well at all.

Our reunion packets are FINALLY OUT. Yawl better go, cause we do have fun together. It is September 14th to September 18th. (Wed. to Sun.)
This year Tony has a all day bus trip planned for us. We will be touring the battle ship New Jersey. It’s the most decorated ship in Naval history and of course all the historical places in Philadelphia.

You two Plank brothers both better go, because Tony said that you two changed the vote and he is going to make you both walk the PLANK, if you don’t come. (now that would be new entertainment)

Don’t worry be happy! Tony Soria is working on getting all the trip information out on our 24th Reunion in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He did send out a post card to say it was ON AGAIN and you should soon be getting your packet, with cost, where we are staying and our itinerary of what we will be doing.
I only have 39 E-mails that still work, so if any one has a E-mail that I don’t have, please send it to me and forward this E-mail to them for me.
Dean and I started to go to the reunions in 2005 (San Francisco) and I’m working on some photo albums to bring to the reunion to entertain you all. (I had a lot of time in the hospital)
I’ve said this before, but I’m like a little kid—I can’t wait to go to Philadelphia to see you all again.
If your unable to go this year, PLEASE send us a note to let all of us know how you are and what’s new in your life. Oh, speaking of that Dean and I are going to be Grandparents again. This will be #5 for us and it’s a BOY. Drew ? Myers. Now we have one that will carry the Myers name on. Yahoo!!

Dear Shipmates,
To all of those that missed our latest trip to Tucson, Arizona, you really missed a great trip. The weather was great. We only had 14 couples and two more, brand new couples at the banquet. Like the “Energizer Bunny” and the “Timex Watch” the USS Algol is still ticking.
I’m writing you all this short note to let you know that we all voted to go to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania next year. So keep the second or third week of September open so you all can come. We miss all the old timers and we are looking for new comers. Lets keep the USS Algol Reunions going.
